We have received a new request to assist a family with rent for their apartment. Baby Wyatt was born on 10/20/12 at 25 weeks gestation. Wyatt was subsequently diagnosed with a significant heart defect which required surgery, bilateral head bleeds, and hydronephrosis. He remained on a high level of life support during his hospitalization. He then had a perforation of his bowel, and things went downhill from there. Wyatt passed away after 7 weeks of being in the hospital.
Wyatt’s parents were absolutely devastated. His parents had already experienced two previous losses including a baby born at 18 weeks gestation, and a baby born at 22 weeks gestation.
During the time Wyatt was hospitalized, his dad continued to work as much as he could. However, the family took a significant financial hit because of these circumstances. They normally had been able to keep up with their rent payments, and had previously been a two income household. However, his mom was unable to work due to her pregnancy and then complications with baby Wyatt. Just prior to Wyatt passing away, there was concern that they were going to be unable to make their rent this coming month. They were afraid they would lose their apartment. The couple does have a healthy two year old boy at home.
This family is asking for $395.00 to cover rent for the month of January. Please consider helping this family in their time of great struggle and sorrow. Any amount of help you can give would be very much appreciated and as always your donation is tax deductible. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
